Tai Chi at the Norwell Public Library

Tai chi has been proven through medical studies to benefit the body in many tangible ways. The slow graceful movements help reduce the risk of falling & ease arthritic joint pain. Incorporating mindful breathing & exercise techniques help to bring a sense of calmness to our minds, enhances our focus and develops a greater sense of self-awareness.

Beginning September 14th, ongoing classes will be held on Tuesday mornings from 11:00 am – 12 :00 noon in the NPL’s Meeting Room. Beginners of all ages & abilities are welcome. Wear loose comfortable clothing.

The instructor, Maria Sestina is an RN with a holistic health focus. She is a vitalist, believing in the wisdom of the body & our innate ability to maximize our own health. She is a 500-hour certified tai chi/qigong instructor. Maria has also obtained her certification as a “Magical Beginnings/Enchanted Lives” instructor at Deepak Chopra’s Center of Well Being in La Jolla, California.
