The library is hosting an exciting evening event with podcasters Diane Godfrey and Jordan Rich from the Massachusetts-based true-crime podcast, All Rise. Jordan Rich explains what a podcast is, how a podcast is made, and how he and Diane Godfrey came together as cohosts. Diane Godfrey will discuss her 30-plus year career as a court reporter in the courts of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, along with her experiences as a podcast cohost.

Bios:

Diane Godfrey has been a court reporter for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for 30 years. She has worked on thousands of criminal cases as well as on civil litigation at the Superior Court level. She started her podcast “All Rise with Diane Godfrey” in December 2020 to share her unique perspective and experiences -- sometimes grim, sometimes comical, but always engaging – whether behind-the-scenes, in the crowded hallways, or in the paneled courtrooms of the Massachusetts judicial system. Diane grew up just outside Boston and has lived in or around the city her entire life. Back in the day she even waited tables at the Bull & Finch Pub on Beacon Hill which was made famous by the TV sitcom Cheers (no, she looks nothing like Shelley Long).

Jordan has been a staple in the Boston broadcasting industry for decades. As the host of WBZ AM 1030 Radio's The Jordan Rich Show, his warm style and comforting voice reached listeners across the nation and beyond. Today, Jordan's special features fill the WBZ airwaves and continue his tradition of excellence in radio programming. As a nationally recognized voice-over artist, he's the voice of numerous businesses, organizations, and charities as well as audiobooks. And, his voice-over classes have launched the careers of many in the field. Jordan is also active on the public speaking circuit and is co-owner of Chart Productions, an audio/video production company in Boston.
